Meraki Resort Adults Only

We had a lovely week of "summer" in January, switching between the fresh sea and the warm pool. The flowers, trees, and beaches were beautiful, everything was absolutely clean, and we enjoyed the range of food. The staff were amazing too. The noise until 1.00 o'clock can be a challenge, but we knew it was a partyhotel. We really liked the live music, white and beach party 🤣

The grounds were a highlight for me, really lovely, clean, and well kept. I stayed for 7 days and had a pleasant time overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the entertainment team deserves a special mention for their energy and cheerful updates about the daily programme. I wasn't keen on the food's taste or variety, and the drinks could be better quality. The sunbeds by the pool are quite worn and could use replacing.

The atmosphere at Meraki Resort was lively and a lot of fun, and the entertainment was energetic and well organized. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and clean, and there was a good variety of delicious food. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout. They went out of their way to make our stay feel special. I had an incredible time and would gladly recommend Meraki to anyone hoping for a memorable stay in Egypt. Thanks so much, guys. x

The grounds at the resort are attractive, clean, and well maintained, and the staff were attentive and willing to help. But the rooms, food, and drinks were awful. We couldn't drink the cocktails, vodka, or gin, and the hotel only stocks Egyptian spirits. They offered us premium bottles for £150, but Hurghada Home Bar delivered the same drinks to the hotel for around £10. Our room was dated, and we could hear everything outside. The music was so loud we couldn't sleep until it stopped, though it didn't otherwise bother us too much. The food was repetitive, so we went to New Marina, about 10 minutes away by taxi, and took two boat trips on separate days to break up the holiday. People kept approaching us at the pool and beach to sell packages, and wouldn't accept no. We tried the spa one day, but it wasn't what we expected. The massages were awful. The masseuses sometimes tickled our hands and feet, chatted with each other, and giggled during the treatments. It felt very unprofessional. At checkout, reception tried to overcharge us for those poor spa treatments. We travelled from NI/UK. If you have high standards, this isn't the place for you. We learned that the hard way. I don't understand the high ratings, since the people we spoke to at the resort did nothing but complain. This is the first bad Google review I've ever written, but I want to be honest so others know what they're paying for before booking.
