Paradise Hill Hotel Apartments

We arrived late after our bus was cancelled and booked at the last minute. The host first offered us a larger room that cost more, then managed to find a smaller one at the price shown on the booking page. It was dirty, and the bathroom pipes ran brown and yellow water. We’d been travelling all day and were exhausted, but we couldn’t even shower. It was too late to find another place, so we slept there that night. Maybe the other rooms were cleaner, I don’t know. We arrived the day after heavy rain, so perhaps that affected the water, but it was far too dirty for anything above two stars. I’d never come back.

After only a couple of days, I moved on to a proper holiday resort. It cost a little more and made my stay 1000% better. This place was horrible. The pool was cleaned only after complaints, and after it was cleaned I saw the cleaner spit into it. Hot water pipes were leaking, cupboards smelled of old fried fish, and the couches were falling apart. The pool gets no sun because of the building’s height. There was a complete zoo crawling out of the bath tub, assuming it would even drain. This tip doesn’t deserve the label “budget”, since you wouldn’t even use it as a cattery or dog shelter. Oops, the number of cats and dogs proved me wrong. Stay away. You deserve better ☺

The pool was unclean, the loungers old and lumpy, and the apartments full of ants. I also accidentally left my best dress hanging behind the curtain in the apartment I rented. When we called a couple of days later, after I realised, they said they’d thrown it in the bin. They didn’t even say sorry. I’m really upset and angry about it. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

I spent a year there and was happy with my stay. The apartments are clean, and the location is wonderful. The staff are honest and very kind. They care about you and do what they can to help.
