Pickalbatros Aqua Park Resort - Hurghada

There was lots for our family to do, and our children, aged 3 and 5, loved it. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week and would strongly recommend the hotel to families. The grounds were a comfortable size, never overwhelming. Guests could use the adjoining hotels’ facilities and the beach. There were three heated main pools and three children’s pools, which was fantastic. The food was excellent and offered plenty of choice. The hotel was beautiful and clean, and the welcoming staff were always ready to help make our stay comfortable.

We liked having access to the restaurants at the other two hotels in the complex, as well as the option of à la carte dining. The food selection here was varied and sufficient, and the pools were excellent, with several heated ones. A convenient shuttle bus made getting to the beach easy. The location worked very well, and the staff were kind, friendly, and full of humor and positive energy. The animation team stayed cheerful and engaging without ever being pushy. A great stay.

There’s a shuttle to the beach every 20 minutes, and the ride takes about five minutes. You can get drinks there too. The children were very happy, and I’d recommend this hotel, especially for families. The food was excellent, varied, and available practically around the clock across numerous restaurants. Housekeeping brought water to our room, and drinks were easy to find throughout the hotel. Service was friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to requests, though some staff had limited English. I was particularly impressed by the care around meal hygiene: the chef changed gloves between handling raw and cooked meat. None of us, including the children, had stomach problems. There are plenty of pools and attractions, lots of waterslides, and the equipment was generally well maintained. Service gets a 10/10 from me.

Drinks were good throughout the day, and there were plenty of activities and entertainment options for families. Pickalbatros Aqua Blu Resort has a lot going for it and was generally an enjoyable place to stay. Still, some parts of our stay were mixed. Staff were inconsistent: some were friendly and helpful, while others seemed unfriendly. Our family room was right by the evening entertainment stage, with loud music every night until around 10:30 PM. The main restaurant also got quite noisy in the evenings. Food was fine for the first couple of days, but the selection didn’t really change, so it became repetitive and we gradually lost interest. The resort is visually appealing and has plenty to do during the day, but these issues affected our experience.
