Pickalbatros Citadel Resort

Mr. Mohamed Abdelghany deserves special thanks for the care he showed us. He welcomed us warmly, stayed available for requests, and made us feel valued throughout our stay. His kindness and professionalism stood out. Pickalbatros Citadel Resort also had lovely views, good facilities, delicious food and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and the whole team made this a wonderful vacation. We left with beautiful memories and hope to return. Highly recommended.

My birthday surprise was such a thoughtful touch, and it made the stay memorable. The animation team were friendly and fun, with enjoyable activities and evening shows. The staff were attentive and professional, always ready to help. My room was comfortable and well cared for, and there was plenty of tasty food to choose from. The hotel is luxurious, clean and beautifully designed. I had a fantastic time and would definitely come back.

We had a sea-view room that was nicely presented and cleaned every day. The staff were kind, supportive and seemed to care. There was an excellent range of food, with several restaurants, bars and places to relax. I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

The resort’s architecture, pools and sea views are beautiful, and there’s enough space and activities to enjoy different areas without feeling crowded. Our room was comfortable and clean, though it’s beginning to look dated and could use modernization. The restaurants offered a broad range of cuisines and dishes, and dining was one of the highlights. The beach fire show was impressive, but it involved performers burning their hands and bodies with real fire. With so many children watching, there should have been a warning that it could be disturbing or dangerous. The weak point for us was reception and hospitality. On arrival, we got no warm welcome or information about facilities, activities or restaurants. We had to go to the reception office ourselves for wristbands and guidance, while I saw staff take bracelets to foreign guests where they were sitting and explain things to them. It left us feeling we were treated differently. Staff often seemed annoyed when asked for help, especially at the beach bar, and few made guests feel welcome. Room check-in was frustrating too. We kept being told it would be ready “in a few minutes,” then the staff member would disappear without an update. Shady eventually handled it professionally, apologized, arranged the room promptly and gave us a complimentary upgrade, which we appreciated. Reception also kept asking if we had booked directly or through Booking.com. After we said Booking.com, our wristbands were changed without explanation, which felt odd and unnecessary. Pickalbatros Citadel has the facilities and setting to be world-class, but its guest service needs significant improvement. More warmth and professionalism from staff would make a real difference.
