The rooms were spacious and hygienic, with good linen and bath accessories. It’s a great property with a swimming pool and excellent staff. The hotel is five minutes from the airport and includes complimentary breakfast.

The staff listened to our concerns, and when we found our room too noisy, they moved us to a quieter one. The apartments are big, and the stay was good value for money. The couches were dusty enough to set off a lot of sneezing from our allergies, so they really need cleaning. The Wi-Fi wasn’t good either. The salon is pretty decent. Otherwise, we had a good stay.

The staff were the best part of our stay at Rivoli Suites. Thanks to Faborina, Ahmed, Sharif and Mona at reception for being helpful and friendly and making my son and me feel welcome. Osman and the housekeeping team were hardworking, flexible with our schedule and quick to fix an issue in the room. The room was lovely and the location was good, but breakfast and Wi-Fi need work. I had major connection problems and went without access for three days. The IT staff tried to help, but I spent hours waiting for them to fix it. Given all that, a local SIM card would have been a nice customer service gesture. Getting pool towels was a faff too. We had to collect a towel card from reception and return it there every day, which took time and felt unnecessary. Breakfast was the biggest letdown. Although it ran from 7 to 11, food often ran out by 10 a.m. When I asked for refills, I was told they were “on a budget.” The service was very slow, and I often had to ask twice for an omelet. The Egyptian breakfast was basic and never changed. I’d give it 1 out of 5, and that’s generous. I wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast. If I stayed again, I’d arrange my own.

The room was huge, spotless, and had a stunning view of the airport and mountains. Having a full kitchenette and utensils was a real plus, and the staff helped sort out the few minor problems we ran into. Rivoli Suites is good value and conveniently close to the airport, with a minimarket next door and a couple of supermarkets within walking distance. A local SIM from the airport is probably the best option for internet. Wi-Fi costs a little, though not much, and WhatsApp calls didn’t seem to work properly in Egypt, while messages did. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, since the mosque next door calls to prayer loudly at 5am each day. We also wished the hotel offered airport pickup for a fee. We had to deal with a shady Uber driver alone in the middle of the night and were seriously worried about our safety.
