Sea Garden Hotel

The room was clean, and although the furniture is a little old, it was tidy and well looked after. Cleanliness and service were very good. The housekeeping staff were great, especially Mr. Abdo, who was kind and helpful. Many thanks to him. For a three-star hotel in Egypt, I'd say it's very good, particularly because of the excellent location near Sheraton Market and very close to Mamma Mia Beach.

The marina view is good, and the hotel sits right next to the marina. But the wifi, doors, key cards, shower head, and bathroom flush all failed. On top of that, everything was covered in dust, dirt, and grime. It wouldn't take much to mop the floor. With a proper clean, this could easily be a four-star hotel.

The rooms were very good for the price, and the staff were friendly. Mister Abdul was a big help arranging trips, even at the last minute, and sorted things out when one trip didn't send the files as promised. The hotel is close to the marina and shops, and there's even a private beach, though entry costs 200 Egyptian pounds. It's a good fit for travelers who want to stay active and go on trips.

Some of the staff are clearly trying their best, but the hotel was extremely dirty. Our room floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time, with used toilet paper in the bathroom, a stained toilet seat, hairs everywhere including the bed sheets, and dust, crumbs, and other unidentified bits on the floor. The pool was greenish, with half a cut crab and a piece of bread floating in it. The wifi didn't work, and neither did the door locks. Every time we came back, we had to ask reception for a new key card. The price is far too high for this place. You can only pay cash on arrival, and if you don't have it, staff won't let you into your room until you find an ATM on the street. The amount shown on Booking wasn't honored either. They inflated it, supposedly for taxes, but gave no receipt or proof.
