Regina Resort and Aqua Park Hurghada

The resort’s grounds are beautiful, full of flowers, greenery and birds, and they’re very well maintained. Most of the staff were friendly, and Rahim is a great choice if you want to arrange sea excursions. Still, over our seven nights, the management and service left a lot to be desired. Our first room was in a building under construction and wasn’t clean. After insisting quite a bit, we were moved to a cleaner room, but it was much smaller, with older furniture and a less equipped bathroom. The manager promised a fruit basket, extra bottled water and free access to the à la carte restaurants when we changed rooms, but none of that happened. The food was repetitive, with rice, beef in sauce, sautéed vegetables, okra and pasta served every day. The Italian à la carte restaurant had no real menu, just a standard choice of one or two dishes. Its ventilation was poor, and the food smell clung strongly to our clothes. They provide only one 600 ml bottle of water per person each day, which isn’t enough even for brushing your teeth. The beach and pool sunbeds weren’t cleaned, and the personal hygiene of some staff members was another unpleasant issue. The resort has lovely natural surroundings, but the management and services take a lot away from the experience.

The staff made us feel like family, even during our short stay. Mr Ahmed was there from the start to the end, always ready to help with questions and treating us so warmly. The tall man who brought our luggage to the room was patient and helpful too, and Noby, one of the buffet servers, was friendly every evening at dinner. When the MTS transfer drivers accidentally left my luggage outside the hotel as I was leaving, the security guards and other staff were alert and helped sort it out. I’m really thankful they handled it so well. My stay at Regina was amazing. Thank you so much, we’ll be back.

The food was excellent, and you can tell the kitchen team puts in real effort. Compliments to the chef 🤘🏼 The garden was in bloom and beautifully cared for, and staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. Reception always responded quickly when we needed something. Our first bungalow felt dark and uncomfortable, but then we moved to a Regal Sea View room and loved it. The view was stunning and made a big difference, although the shower was worn and could use renovation. Some rooms do feel tired. The key cards also demagnetized easily, especially near a phone, so we had to get replacements at reception several times. Beach staff kept approaching us to offer spa services, photography and boat trips 🗿 They often ignored the red flag system, which got tiring when we were trying to relax with family. I wish they’d respect it more. I also recommend the Asian restaurant, better than the Italian 🤍 We had a very positive stay at Regina.

The location is perfect, the street is friendly and the beach is only a three-minute walk past the pool. You can book excursions at the hotel or down by the beach. And there are cats everywhere, which I love, so be nice to them or don’t stay here 🩷 I stayed on my own. There was plenty of food I liked, and the room suited what I needed. There weren’t many English TV channels, but I was happy enough to fall asleep listening to Peppa Pig 🤣. Most staff were friendly, especially in the food hall and animation team. Reception was less so, apart from one tall, smiley gentleman I didn’t see much. My complaint was about leaving for two nights to stay nearby with a family member. I wasn’t checking out, since I’d paid for the room and still needed it, but hotel security stopped me abruptly in the street with my suitcase. Reception questioned me until I felt uncomfortable. When I came back 48 hours later, my door card didn’t work, the room hadn’t been cleaned or restocked with water, and a couple of things I’d left there had disappeared. I won’t return because I didn’t like the general attitude. That seemed unusual to me.
