For once, the place was actually like it was advertised, which is rare in Egypt. We had a great room and breakfast, and the rooftop food was good too. Hamza at reception was lovely. El Gezira is on the West Bank, a lovely area that’s much quieter and less hassle than the East Bank. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel manager helped us arrange a hot air balloon, a taxi and a boat. Our room was simple, spacious and had a balcony. I’d definitely stay here again.

I’ve been coming here for 20 years and it’s always lovely. This little hotel has just 11 rooms, tucked away two minutes from the Nile. It’s a peaceful, safe place to stay, with good rooftop food and clean rooms. It’s also handy for the sites, transport, restaurants and the Nile.

I only stayed one night, but I’ll book this hotel when I’m back in Luxor. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and there’s a lovely garden with tables and chairs where you can relax. The staff are friendly and professional. I recommend staying here 100%.
