Gaddis Hotel

The breakfast staff were friendly, and breakfast had falafel and an egg station. The hotel across the street costs triple and doesn’t have either. There’s also a kettle, tea, and instant coffee in the room. The heating worked well when it got cold, and the hot water was great for showers. We had a few problems. Our room wasn’t cleaned for three days, and there was no Wi-Fi, though lots of hotels didn’t have it. On arrival they’d left two hand towels on the bed instead of bath towels, which we only realized when it was time to shower. We had to ask for replacements the next day. We’d asked for a double bed but got two twins. Staff were also a bit strange about booking another night. They wouldn’t confirm the price or reservation, kept saying to wait until tomorrow, and did the same the next day. So we booked at New Pola instead, which was also nice and had a rooftop. Tip: If you want breakfast before 10am, book it with the hotel or go to another hotel and pay. Finding breakfast in Egypt before that time is very difficult, we found.
