Nefertiti

The rooftop restaurant's view is out of this world, and we ate there about four times during our three-night stay. I also loved the breakfast spread, easily my favorite in my seven days in Egypt so far, so I highly recommend booking the breakfast option. At Nefertiti Hotel in Luxor, Ahmed at reception was always there to answer questions and help with whatever we needed. Probably the best reception staff member I’ve come across on my recent travels.

Muhammad, who cleaned the second floor, went out of his way to make us smile and feel comfortable. He and the receptionist lady were especially wonderful, and all the staff were lovely and helpful. The rooftop restaurant was amazing too, and the balloon tour was more than perfect. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Luxor.

Ayman, Mohammad, and Rajab were especially welcoming, and Ayman really stood out. He made me the most beautiful towel arrangement and was so polite, helpful, and keen to make me comfortable. It’s a peaceful hotel with incredibly kind and friendly staff. Definitely recommend xoxo.

The location is great, and the staff are friendly, but our room and the hotel have some serious problems. There’s basically no soundproofing. Doors, chairs, coughing, people shouting outside, it all sounds like it’s right next to your bed. When a car idles close to the room, you may get a whiff of exhaust fumes. Maybe not every room has that issue, but it’s unpleasant when you’re trying to sleep. Most sockets were loose, and one even sparked or shorted when we tried plugging in the water cooker. The rooms also feel outdated or like they’re falling apart. One of our two cushions had such hard lumps inside it that sleeping on it was impossible. There are scammers right by the hotel entrance too.
