Mohamed, who manages the apartment, was brilliant about keeping in touch before and during our stay. He arranged a driver for Hatshepsut and VoK, which was great value, about a tenner if I remember right. He also set up our drive to Aswan via Edfu and Kom Ombo. We loved being on the quieter west bank, with VoK and Hatshepsut close by. The ferry terminal is nearby too, though as a family of four we found it even easier to take a motorboat from right outside to Luxor temple for 100egp. The apartment had everything we needed, including a washing machine, and the rooftop view was lovely. Hamada Market is just around the corner and offers fair prices, while Nile Freedom serves excellent food and beer for good value. We’d happily recommend the place.

We found the neighborhood peaceful, with fairly priced restaurants along the riverbank and a short walk to the ferry for crossing to the east bank. Mohammed Ali and Sari were wonderful hosts, quick to answer our questions, and Mohammed helped us plan some of our outings around Luxor. We had a really good stay.

We asked Ahmed to drive us, and he was passionate about the area, helpful, and incredibly nice. He showed us Luxor so well. Sari, Ahmed, and Mohamed all put a lot into making sure we had a great stay. They helped arrange our whole trip through Aswan, Abu Simbel, Luxor, and El Gouna. They were more organized and professional than the other tour services we contacted, and charged less. The accommodation itself was cozy, spotless, and well equipped. We also recommend booking a hot air balloon and Felucca ride through them. For food and supplies, try Hamada market, Nile Freedom, and Abu Aya restaurants.

The rooftop terrace has a marvelous view of Luxor Tempel and the Winterpalace. The rooms are large, clean, and air-conditioned, and you can park right out front. It’s also near the boats to the eastbank and places to eat. A great place to stay.
