It was wonderfully peaceful here, and the home-grown vegetables gave the place a distinctive, authentic feel. The pool was a nice extra too. Although it's a little outside the city center, getting around by tuk-tuk, ferry, or taxi was easy. Our stay was fantastic. Room 103 had plenty of space and all the amenities we needed. We were greeted with a refreshing drink, a big bottle of water, and fresh fruit when we arrived. The staff were warm and very attentive without hovering, and seemed to know just when to check in and when to give us some space.

We really enjoyed the stay and thought it was good value. The village on the West Bank was quiet, and the room had a comfortable feel, a nice shower and ensuite, and a small balcony. I loved the decor and enjoyed cooling off in the little pool after a long day. The staff were incredibly friendly and did their best to make the stay what we hoped for. There's a bar with fresh fruit drinks and sodas, plus a small selection of alcohol, including beer, wine, and spirits. The location was the quietest I've had in Egypt for sound, but you'll need taxis for most outings. The hotel-arranged cars are better quality than ordinary street cars and cost more, though still not much.

After Cairo's hustle and bustle, we wanted somewhere quieter in Luxor, and JHC was just that. It sits on the West Bank, close to our hot air balloon and West Bank tours, which worked well for us. Our room was stocked with drinks at very reasonable prices, and breakfast was delicious fuel for long days of touring. Everyone working there greeted us with a smile and was ready to help. It made our time at JHC really special.

We found it peaceful enough to get away from Luxor's traffic and bustle, while still being well placed for sightseeing, especially on the west bank. The staff arranged transport to archaeological sites with clear prices and a flexible approach. Our driver was kind, reliable, and flexible too. The hotel was pleasant and well kept. Our room was clean and nice, with daily housekeeping, and the food was amazing in both flavour and presentation. We had a very pleasant stay and can warmly recommend it.

Breakfast was great, and Mr. Saeed, the manager, sorted out our transport from Luxor to Abu Simbel. He even checked on us the next day. The staff also carried our luggage upstairs after check-in and checked when our driver would arrive. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is quiet and charming, near the Valley of the Kings and the hot air balloon area. We had a great stay and would book it again if I get another chance to visit Luxor.
