MS Chatteau lafayette Nile Cruise

We were a group of 11 adults and 2 children, and the restaurant crew were highly motivated and went above and beyond. The restaurant manager was amazing. Service was excellent, and the food was delicious, with buffet choices for everyone. Breakfast was my favorite meal.

Our days were spent relaxing on the sun deck, sipping delicious mango juice under the Egyptian sun and watching the scenery drift by. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the ship had a calm, refined atmosphere. From the moment we boarded the Mövenpick MS Royal Lily, the whole cruise made us feel like King and Queen. It was an unforgettable way to see the Nile, made special by the people as much as the comfort and scenery. Their warmth and care made the trip feel magical. Thank you to everyone, we’ll carry your kindness with us and wish you all the best. The staff were outstanding, warm, attentive, and sincerely kind. Adil, the F&B Manager, always made sure we had what we needed at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and paid close attention to what we liked and didn’t like. Nour, a bartender with 14 years of experience, was hardworking and attentive, and shared his knowledge of the Nile while helping us find the right drinks. Ahmed, another long-time team member with 14 years’ experience, was friendly and calming, with lots of insight about the Nile. We wish we’d had more time with him. Mohamed, a new member of the bar team, won us over with his enthusiasm, warm smile, friendliness, and readiness to help. He has a natural gift for hospitality. Our housekeeper, Kourashy, was always smiling, quick, and thoughtful. He kept the room clean, cool, and inviting by closing the curtains and adjusting the AC. The Chef and team served excellent, varied food made with care. After noticing how much we loved mangoes, the Chef sent us a beautifully arranged large platter. It was a sweet surprise we really appreciated.

We had an amazing cruise on the Royal Lily from Aswan to Luxor, with beautiful views of the Nile, great service, clean rooms, and an incredible buffet. Special thanks to Chef Ihab and his team for going above and beyond to make the food such a terrific part of the trip.

The rooms on the renovated Royal Lily are spacious and lovely, with bathrooms that feel large for a cruise ship. Food came out fresh and hot, and the maitre d took care if you had allergies. The staff really made the trip for me. I could hear the people in the neighboring cabins clearly, though. Still the best cruise I’ve taken in all my years of traveling.
