The rooftop was the best part. We watched the New Year’s Eve fireworks over the city from up there, and I was surprised it wasn’t busier. The rooms looked nice, were clean, and had good sized beds. Reception staff were all friendly, and the shower had great hot water, though no curtain. Good value for the price, but the heating didn’t work, which would have been handy on cold December nights. The shower head could also use replacing with one that gives a better flow while still working effectively.

We found tasty, better value food in the more local area, just a five minute walk away. The temple and touristy restaurants were about ten minutes on foot. We booked at the last minute for about 1000 LE a night. The aircon in our first room was broken, but they moved us to another when we asked. Clean, spacious rooms and a very nice stay.

Our stay was dreadful. The rooms were unsafe and unclean, and the owner and staff were threatening from the very first day. On the last day, the owner became frightening. His responses were made up. Choose somewhere else.

The Nile view gets the one star, but it’s old pola, not new at all. Reception staff were so rude, and everything was old and broken. We waited 20 minutes for hot water, while noise outside kept us awake all night. There was no breakfast.

The room smelled bad, the toilet was dirty, and there were bugs in the bed. The tall was filthy and disgusting too. This was the most disturbing, disgusting night of my life. When I asked for my money back, they refused, then took all the lights they had charged me for one night.
