Venus Hostel

I had a poor experience here. Basic amenities were missing, and the tours were overpriced. They were often punctual, but we were pushed into shops where people tried to make customers buy and sell. I know many Asians stay here, but it felt like they saw us only as a source of money.

The room itself was nothing special, and we didn't mind that. It was clean enough. What made the stay was their humor, attitude, and the way they treated us. They'd forgotten our booking, even though we'd booked and prepaid a standard room through booking and I'd messaged days before about visiting valley of the kings. Egyptians!!! For real now, they have a restaurant where you order from a catalogue and they bring in dishes from restaurants nearby. Simple plates can be made in their little kitchen. Breakfast was really big, and they found us a driver for a full day around luxor's temples and tombs at a very good price. You can ask reception for a hair dryer. The hotel is in luxor's center, so it gets noisy, which makes sense. Thank you Venus, we'll see you again!

Hassan, the owner, was spectacular, along with his team, adnani, engi, and everyone else. They were all kind and accommodating. Mohammad, our driver for the trip, was especially kind, polite, and attentive. The hotel itself is decent and cozy, and close to good tourist spots. Excellent service and a wonderful experience!

Hassan gave me a warm welcome and introduced me to his famous pet dog Roy. The location is perfect, and the place is clean, with a wonderful breakfast. Until my next visit to Luxor.
