Nour El Balad

The hosts were so warm and friendly, and our room was comfortable with lovely views across the fields and desert. We had a fantastic stay, and the homemade marmalade was especially good.

We loved the Arabic-style design throughout the hotel, with thoughtful details in everything from the bed to the chairs. The rooms felt like something from a fairy tale. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing, with authentic Egyptian food made from local ingredients. At night, the roof terrace is a lovely place to catch the stars and a cool breeze. The location was a big reason I chose it: we walked through the desert for 30 minutes to reach the queen of valley, and going early in the morning felt magical. The owner speaks many languages and is so kind and welcoming. We’re touring all over Egypt, and this has been our favorite hotel. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

The meals were amazing, and I’d definitely recommend having both breakfast and dinner here. It’s quiet and peaceful, with friendly staff who were always ready to help. Nour El Balad is beautifully decorated and has an authentic feel. The area around it is lovely, the locals are nice, and it’s a great base for seeing the West Bank sights.

Chef Abdel Rady and his family made the stay feel especially warm and easy. He was incredibly generous and hospitable, and that made my time in Luxor really special. The hotel is peaceful, tucked near the mountains, and well placed for biking to all the sites. I’d happily recommend Nour El Balad.
