SUNRISE Semiramis III Cruise

The main thing to know before booking is that local vendors often make persistent sales pitches when you embark or disembark at tourist sites. That can feel overwhelming if you’re not expecting it, so patience and firm boundaries help. The rest of our trip aboard Sunrise M/S Semiramis III from Luxor to Abu Simbel was comfortable and enjoyable. The sailing along the Nile was smooth and calm, with room to take in the scenery and history. Meals exceeded our expectations, with varied, flavorful choices at each sitting, including both local food and more familiar options. The attentive crew anticipated what we needed and responded quickly with warmth and professionalism. It felt more like hospitality than transportation, and made exploring Upper Egypt comfortable and memorable.

I boarded Semiramis III on Feb 6, 2026, from Aswan to Luxor, and had a superb trip through Feb 9. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was tasty with plenty of options for different dietary needs, and staff did all they could to accommodate us. Everyone was nice, courteous and friendly, which made the trip fun and enjoyable. I wish I could name all the staff from the restaurant, reception and room cleaning crew. Thanks to Mohamed and Saad from the cleaning crew, Abdullah, chef Khatab and chef Saber from the restaurant team, and camera-man Ahmed, along with everyone else who was there. I recommend the ship and would love to come back.

We spent three days and three nights onboard, and our family will keep this part of our Nile journey as a lovely memory. The cruise was well organized, with everything running smoothly and professionally. Meals were excellent, varied and presented very well. The team was exceptionally kind, attentive and professional throughout, and we always felt welcome, respected and well looked after. We’re sincerely grateful to everyone for their dedication and warm hospitality.

I really loved the experience, and the crew were kind and friendly with my daughter. Everyone was professional and friendly, from the reception staff to the chefs. The housekeeping team kept things super clean, the rooms were very clean, and the chefs were great.
