Steigenberger Resort Achti Luxor

The breakfast was solid, especially the omelets and local yogurt with honey. For lunch, we’d suggest the buffet instead of the à la carte menu, or trying nearby local spots. At sunset we took a sailboat from the hotel for 1.5 hours. It was $30 for 3 people, a reasonable price for a magical experience. A kiosk just outside the gate sells snacks and 1.5L water bottles for about 15 EGP, which was handy. We’d pre-booked an airport taxi for $4 USD, a convenient choice, though you can probably find cheaper if you hail one there. Our arrival had a small hiccup, but staff dealt with it promptly and professionally. They moved us to a new room straight away, then the manager came to apologize personally the following day and gave us free breakfast for the whole stay. Later another manager followed up and upgraded us to a beautiful suite. We felt truly cared for and treated with kindness. Thanks to the management team for turning a possible negative into a highlight. We highly recommend the hotel for its service and hospitality.

We felt well looked after throughout our stay at Steigenberger Resort Achti, and the staff were always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help. The resort was spotless and well maintained, with spacious, comfortable rooms. There’s plenty of variety at breakfast, and the food was delicious. The pool and gardens were breathtaking, while the peaceful Nile views made it a lovely place to unwind after exploring Luxor. The location also worked well for visiting the temples and other historical sites. Thank you to everyone at Steigenberger Resort Achti, we can’t wait to return.

The kindness and professionalism of the staff made this a very positive stay. We were warmly welcomed at check-in, and Mustafa and Yamil both went out of their way to make us feel at home. Mustafa gave us a complimentary upgrade that we hadn’t expected and really appreciated. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with a large balcony and fantastic Nile views, a lovely way to begin and end the day. Some of the interior design feels a little dated, but the generous, friendly service more than made up for it. We didn’t eat or drink at the hotel, so can’t comment on the food; there are several outlets on site. We’d happily come back.

The food allergy care at Sofra was exceptional. I told our server, Shehab, about my allergies, and he worked with the chefs, Mostafa & Mohammed, to make sure everything was safe. When the food arrived, Shehab and both chefs came to the table to explain which dishes I could eat and which were for the other guests. Shehab checked on me regularly, and Mr. Abdelrahim, the restaurant manager, also visited our table and all the others to make sure everyone was satisfied. That level of service is rare, and I’ll remember the meal. From the friendly security team at the gate, who watched our bags when we arrived early, to Ola’s welcoming and seamless check-in, the team made us feel at home. Steigenberger Achti is beautiful, the rooms are clean, the building is well maintained, and the customer service is unmatched. Sofra is 1 of 3 restaurants at the resort. I highly recommend Steigenberger Achti, especially for its amazing team.
