Mara House Luxor

Mara organized my whole Egypt trip, and it was a great decision. Everything was taken care of, so I could relax and enjoy the travel days. Mara house was a unique hotel with big, spacious rooms and lovely decor. Amr made great food too.

Our family suite was spacious and had a traditional water-closet/bathroom/shower setup. Mara House is beautifully decorated, with a lovely neighborhood feel. I’m so grateful to Amr, who went above and beyond when my family had an issue with a lost phone. He handled everything with such care and generosity and was incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. Highly recommend, especially for the kindness and hospitality.

The tours with Mara were honest, trustworthy, and safe. They covered the best sites along with other highlights we might not have known about, and didn’t waste time at commissioned shops like most tours. I loved my 11-day tour and highly recommend it. Mara House is the best you can do in Egypt. Her hotel feels more like a home stay, with huge suites full of lavish Egyptian decor, delicious feasts, and plenty of personal attention to help with everything.

Amr and his family made Mara House Luxor feel so welcoming. They looked after everything we needed, and the meals there were the best we ate on our ten-day Egypt trip. The rooms were roomy and nicely furnished, with a stocked mini-bar, and we loved unwinding on the roof terrace. Mara also made planning much easier, patiently answering our many emails and sharing loads of useful information in her blog and Egypt travel guide. Our guides in Cairo and Luxor were excellent too.
