If you’re looking for peace of mind, this is a lovely place for it. The beach is amazing, the rooms are very clean and have a great feel, and the staff are friendly and polite.

The beach and the fact that there was an ambulance were the only good things about this hotel. The restaurant food was awful. I ate there on arrival day and woke up sick the next morning, stuck in bed and missing a whole day of exploring marsa alam. I was still ill on day three, but managed to go out and eventually went to the hotel ambulance for IV fluids because my blood pressure was very low after I hadn’t been able to eat for two days. I started feeling okay on the fourth day, when I was leaving, and I blame the food quality. The salad was old and not fresh, nothing at the buffet smelled fresh or clean, and the utensils weren’t cleaned properly. The room cleaning was poor too, though the room itself was acceptable compared with the food. Honestly, I can’t recommend this place at all.

The service was very friendly, and they were doing their best to help. The quality standards, though, are low. There were cobwebs, the bathrooms weren’t very clean, and the towels felt rough. Restaurant food was average, and the rooms cost more than their quality deserves for a 4-star stay. One guest moved to another hotel because of the mosquitoes and lack of cleanliness, and paid less than we did. The lodge needs a major upgrade to match the advertised standard. The pictures can be deceiving.

Elvira and her team made us feel welcome. The food selection was plentiful and very good, and the garden pool was a peaceful spot. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. It’s about a five-minute walk to the beach, an easy and pleasant walk. Highly recommended.
