The Oasis Dive Resort

Rest was my main reason for going, and this hotel was just right for recovering from burnout. I also wanted a short refresher on my scuba skills, and the instructors made it a really good experience. They seemed to care about encouraging me, too. Eva was warm from the moment I arrived and checked that everything was okay. Eva, please pass along my thanks to the instructors! ❤️

The bungalows are lovely, and the beach and house reef are beautiful. It’s a very quiet resort, set well back from the main road, with a relaxed crowd and no party scene, exactly what I wanted. The dive operation is top-notch and Nitrox is free. Food and service were very good, and I especially appreciated how attentive the staff were. I’ll definitely be back.

After a last-minute booking, they welcomed me warmly and let me leave my bag so I could still join the afternoon activity. I came back in the evening and was checked into a spacious, comfortable room. Most guests seemed to speak German, but the staff understood enough to help with everything I asked for. I enjoyed a relaxing massage, and there was food and water available. Breakfast was delicious. I heard the snorkeling is apparently unparalleled, though I didn’t get out on the water myself. I did go on a drive trip and had an amazing time. I’d come here after finding the accommodations in downtown Marsa Alam less than hospitable.

The house reef is incredible for diving, and I really enjoyed the food. It’s a simple, quiet resort without fancy extras or over-the-top luxury. The pool was cold in January ;-)
