Pickalbatros Oasis Port Ghalib

The rooms are spacious and beautiful, and the staff are both friendly and professional. Karam took care of our room and was especially helpful and welcoming; it was always clean and tidy. We also liked being just steps from Port Galib marina, where you can stroll calmly among the shops. There’s a huge range of facilities, including paddle courts, a gym, spa, and well-organized shops. Five buffet restaurants offer plenty of choice, and all were excellent. We’ll definitely come back. Absolutely recommended.

We were so happy to stay at Pickalbatros Palace hotel. The staff we met were remarkably kind and open, and our spacious rooms were cleaned every day. We really enjoyed the food, tasty coffee, and the friendly animation team. There was plenty to enjoy around the resort too: a heated swimming pool, clean beach, water park, and massage studio. The Photo Team also took family photos that gave us happy moments and memories we won’t forget. We’re especially grateful to Adam from the Photo Team and our massagists Joussef and Nora. Staying here was a real pleasure. Highly recommend.

There’s a huge choice of food, and the beach with its lovely coral reef is close by, as is Port Ghalib. The whole property is exceptionally clean, with rooms cleaned every day, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We’d certainly visit again. We liked how relaxed Port Ghalib felt. It’s smaller and cozier than Hurghada, with shops you can browse freely and without constant pressure from sellers. We noticed most tourists were Eastern European, though more Western Europeans, including Dutch visitors, seem to be arriving. There were few, if any, British tourists while we were there. The resort is well designed and looked after, and its coastal location near the airport is convenient. The accommodation was excellent. Towel service was great, and staff were attentive at both the pool and beach. Everyone across the resort was friendly, especially the team at the Outlook Bar. Snorkeling was fun, and the room and service were much like what we’ve had on previous holidays in Egypt and Turkey. Our main disappointment was the limited food selection. The quality was perfectly fine for an all-inclusive, but after about a week the meals started to feel repetitive. The animation team works hard, though the activities repeat quite a bit, and there were fewer pool games than at other resorts we’ve visited. Some beach animators mainly focused on Italian guests; the rest of the team had mixed nationalities, with little to no Dutch presence. We had a great holiday and will remember the stay positively.
