Clean and quiet, and the staff were so helpful. Good place.
The decor is good and everything was clean, but there was no service at all, and I mean it 😂. The room cost 500 Egyptian pound per night.
A very clean, calm, and family-friendly hotel, with helpful staff and a good breakfast. The rooms aren’t very good, though. They need satellite TV, and I can’t say whether the AC works since I didn’t use it.
Regent Hotel works well for a two- or three-day trip for couples or friends, but not a family holiday. The rooms are tidy and clean, the beds comfortable, and the rooms feel cozy. Prices are fair for what’s provided. It’s bed-only accommodation, with no food offered. The furniture has an English design, and you can see how the English community lived or visited this area during the British occupation of Egypt, when English employees worked at the Suez Canal Company. The manager shared the building’s history: the owner’s father bought it sixteen years ago from the English Bible community. Papes lived in the old building, which dates to 1910, and before that it was a library. The building is registered as Regent Heritage with the Egyptian authority in Port Said. It’s downtown in Port Said, near the Port Fouad Ferry, about a 10-minute walk away, and close to Fariel Garden. There are several clothes shops around it, as well as enough bank services in the area.
It’s right in the middle of the city, which is convenient, and close to the banks and Port Said harbour. There’s no noise around the hotel.
