Amarina Abu Soma Resort & Aquapark

I’ve come to the end of my stay at Amarina Hotel, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere and thoughtful service made it memorable, and I’d happily return. Mr. Sherif, the Hotel Director, kept checking in and showing care for guest comfort. I also want to thank Mr. Abd Al Rahim from Guest Relations for his warm welcome and hospitality. He was attentive, helpful, and clearly wanted to make sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend Amarina Hotel.

The staff were so friendly, especially several of the waiters with our kids. We spent New Year here, and they put on a wonderful party. The restaurants were better than the general food, which was okay by Egypt standards. The bar has a horrible smell and I couldn’t tell what caused it. It was fairly clean, but the carpet was stained and should be removed. The hotel itself is very nice.

Our family rooms were spacious and modern, with beautiful views of the sea and pools. We’d originally had a small room issue, apparently related to hotel maintenance, and Mohammed, the Assistant Front of House Manager, moved us into two lovely rooms next to each other. He also arranged a sweet birthday setup for my daughter. His warmth and professionalism really shaped our stay. The sea was beautifully clear, and the roped-off swimming area felt safe. The beach was lovely, even when busy, and the little shopping area on site was handy. Public toilets and washrooms were consistently very clean. Pools were large, clean, and peaceful, and the five-slide waterpark was fun and well managed for adults and kids alike. We also appreciated the free trial scuba session at the pool. The food was fresh, varied, high quality, and nicely presented across the restaurants. There are four bookable à la carte options, so you don’t have to rely on the buffet every evening. Entertainment was good for an all-inclusive resort, and the animation team were friendly and great with children. The whole place is modern, spotless, and well maintained. The gardens were beautiful, with teams regularly tending them. Staff throughout were polite, knowledgeable, helpful, and communicated well. I took lots of photos because I wanted future guests to see how nice it all is. We’d absolutely come back and recommend Amarina Abu Soma Resort for its facilities, food, and service.

The staff are kind and do their best to help, though the problems here seem to come from management decisions. I wouldn’t choose this hotel if I needed to keep up with work, since the Wi-Fi won’t let you reliably check email or join online meetings. It’s extremely slow everywhere, and even a stable connection isn’t fast enough for an episode or following your team. My room was nicely designed, with a balcony roomy enough to read, have coffee, or unwind. The food was disappointing, with limited variety and only a few things I’d call edible. If you’re fine with less than average food, it could still suit you. I stayed four or five days.
