JAZ Mirabel Resort – All Inclusive

The resort was clean, organised and pleasant, with friendly staff and a good food selection. I would recommend it, but the pressure around tips was stressful. Staff from the hotel and other services were persistent, and some raised the price of activities and asked for cash. One team member followed me for three days, openly asking for a tip. I think this needs to be addressed. A big shout-out to our housekeeper Hossam, who was the sweetest, most professional and efficient housekeeper I've ever had.

The food had good variety and quality, and we always found enough to eat. We especially enjoyed the Italian Al a carte, both the meal and the service. The rooms were basic but had everything we needed. Evening entertainment was enjoyable to watch, though it could start a little earlier. It was also noisy enough from our room to make sleeping difficult. The staff were a highlight. Amim in the buffet restaurant looked after us every day, remembered our drinks and saved our table. The pool team remembered our orders too and kept bringing drinks. The entertainment staff were friendly and not pushy, and clearly had a good rapport with guests. We didn't join in, but enjoyed watching.

We had a relaxed, very pleasant stay, and the restaurant staff were especially warm and attentive with the kids. The food was good, with lots of choice, and the staff overall were friendly and excellent. The rooms were comfortable, though a few things could use a small update. Wi-Fi worked for basic use but wasn't dependable for work. The kids' evening entertainment could be more international, with English rather than Russian, and the music could be more modern. Spa treatments were quite expensive. We'd still come back.

The pools were a plus, with several to choose from and some heated. The beach is nice and safe, though rocky in a few spots. Food and drinks had plenty of variety, and staff were polite and helpful. Rooms were clean, and I would strongly recommend the hotel. The bathroom needs an upgrade. I wasn't sure the soap dispensers were hygienic, since they were tube-style. The door cards kept deactivating too. We visited in February, so I can't say what the rest of the year is like.
