Parrotel Beach Resort

We've stayed at the Parrotel Beach resort twice and love it. The private beach is stunning, and the hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and very well looked after. Our room was lovely. It was cleaned daily, with bottled water, tea and coffee replenished, and fresh towels provided. The staff are kind, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were good, and the hardworking restaurant staff made a real effort to make sure we had what we needed. We'd highly recommend staying here.

The renovated rooms are clean and lovely, though the rooms that haven't been renovated need updating. They're still cleaned and the water is replenished each day. In winter, the shallow heated children's pool is a big plus. There's also a deep pool, plus a pretty jacuzzi tucked into a cave, a nice spot to relax and take photos. The gardens are well kept and the hotel is beautiful. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the waiters are always smiling. The entertainers are sociable and encourage guests to join games, dancing, and other activities. There's evening entertainment too. Food has plenty of variety, so everyone should find something they like. The hotel is close to the airport, shops, cafes, pharmacies, and key city attractions. There's a lovely coral reef, and you can rent one in front of it. I'd bring my own. I definitely recommend a stay here. Thanks for the lovely atmosphere and a great visit.

Everything else was very good, especially the kind staff and the full renovation of the hotel. The food, though, was the same day after day. It only felt like a 5-star hotel on weekends. The man at the lobby bar didn't behave well. I think the staff work long hours and were tired, with little patience left.

We found the seafood à la carte restaurant better than the Italian one. In the main restaurant, breakfast had omelettes and fried eggs made to order, fruit, yoghurt, salad, cold meats and cheeses, bakery items, oats, chicken sausages, vegetables, and boiled eggs. Lunch and dinner were similar, with bakery items, salads, soups, chips, pasta made to order, and hot dishes. The choices changed a little each evening, but there were always rice, fish, pasta, potatoes, vegetables, and beef. The food was tasty and good quality. Restaurant staff were polite, helpful, and kept the area clean, making meals enjoyable. The hotel is a typical all-inclusive, with cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks across all four bars. Local alcohol brands are included; branded alcohol can be bought duty-free at the airport or at the hotel for an extra charge. Alcohol is available until midnight, while soft drinks are available 24/7 in the lobby. There are two main outdoor pools and a small indoor heated pool. The main pool is large, not heated, and ranges in depth up to 176cm. It has lots of sunbeds, with drinks and snacks nearby, though no swim-up bar. There's also a covered shallow baby pool at the side. By the beach, another heated pool hosts the foam party. It's no deeper than around 1m and has some beds and umbrellas. All pools had lifeguards and were open from 08:00 until sunset. Towels can be changed daily at the pool or beach huts. The beach is split into three sections for the three hotels, with Parotel beach to the right. There are plenty of sunbeds with comfortable mattresses, windbreaks, and umbrellas, along with a beach bar and snack bar. The water is shallow but there is coral in places, so beach shoes are advisable. A pier leads out to good snorkelling, with lots of fish and live coral. Lifeguards are at the end, and there's a rope to hold if you're not comfortable in deep open water. The entertainment team runs activities during the day, and beach volleyball, beach football, and table tennis are available all day. Our room was 1258, in the block closest to reception, overlooking the pool and gardens. It had a king-size bed, a table and chairs, and a balcony with two more chairs. The room was modern and recently updated, with a free safe, shampoo, shower gel, moisturiser, kettle, tea, coffee, creamer, and bottled water, all replenished daily. The TV has several language options and can mirror content from your device. The free Wi-Fi was strong in our room. There are multiple room blocks across the grounds. Getting here took 10 minutes by private transfer from Sharm airport. Just outside are shops selling souvenirs and snacks, supermarkets, and excursion outlets. Turning right from the hotel takes you to the main Nabq Bay strip, with more shops, hotels, bars, restaurants, and banks. Misr Bank lets you withdraw cash free with revolut and monzo. Hard Rock, McDonald's, and KFC are about a 30-minute walk away. Taxis run along the road, but agree on a price first, or use InDrive, which is like uber. The staff are amazing and will do all they can for you. Remember, a tip goes a long way with these guys.
