Dessole Holiday Taba

We came as a family with two adults and two children on an all-inclusive package. The price seemed reasonable, and the hotel is well maintained, with beautiful, impressive gardens. Still, several parts of the stay disappointed us. The worst problem was cigarette smoke everywhere, especially with small children. The lobby smelled strongly of smoke, likely from the casino, and people were smoking in the outdoor seating by the pool and dining areas too. We returned to our room smelling of cigarettes every day. It was very unpleasant and unacceptable for a family trip. The atmosphere also felt casino-focused, with a loud crowd that seemed less family-oriented, and staff appeared too focused on tips. We were surprised to find that all-inclusive still meant paying extra to eat at the hotel’s restaurants. The package covered three meals a day and alcoholic or soft drinks at the bar, with almost no alternatives for people who don’t drink those. The gym was poorly maintained and very outdated. Sauna and jacuzzi access cost extra and was only available for a short time when booking a massage, which seemed unusual for this type of hotel. I also got food poisoning on the final day, which made the trip home very difficult. The gardens and reasonable price were good, but the smoking, facilities, and overall atmosphere made this a disappointing family vacation.

Osama deserves a special thank you for being kind, professional, and friendly. He made our stay more enjoyable. The hotel and atmosphere were great, and the beach bar was one of the best parts: excellent drinks, a great vibe, and outstanding service. Highly recommended!

This review is posted for Steigenberger Hotel & Nelson Village, but I’m really writing to recognize Yasser from the restaurant at Nelson Village. His service went far beyond what we expected. He made us a special sugar-free lemonade, which is almost impossible to find elsewhere, and it was excellent. He also let me inspect and choose the fish myself before it was grilled, which gave me a real sense of quality and trust. His genuine care, attentive manner, and eye for detail made us feel special. Service like that is rare and deserves recognition. Thank you, Yasser, for a great experience!

The only small downside was the dinner over the final two days. It wasn’t an open buffet then, just a fixed menu with somewhat limited choices, and the desserts unfortunately weren’t the best. Otherwise, everything was excellent, and I’d definitely recommend this hotel as one of the best places to stay in Taba. The reception staff were professional, welcoming, and ready to help throughout my stay. Mohamed was especially polite and supportive. The restaurant team were friendly and generous as well, and Mahmoud stood out for his kindness, great service, and positive attitude, which made dining more enjoyable.
