We had a double room with an ensuite and could use the spotless pension kitchen, dining, and laundry area. The bar drinks, coffee outside, and lunch in the restaurant were all excellent. Every staff member was warm, friendly, efficient, and professional. The English speaking receptionist was especially helpful when we needed extra assistance. Thanks to everyone, from the cooks and cleaners to the waitress, bar staff, and management.

They realized we didn’t speak Spanish and made sure an English speaker could help us. The service was great, the atmosphere friendly, and the food and drinks excellent. We left very happy.

The people running the place were so hospitable and made us feel welcome. Breakfast was available, but we skipped it because we had a long hike and wanted an early start. I did have a coffee con leche to get the day going. We’d definitely come back if we do the Del Norte again, and I highly recommend it.

A great overnight stop on the Camino. The rooms were clean and tidy, with free Wi-Fi, and there are two washers and two dryers. The menu del dia was excellent. About the complaint over curtains: learn to use the Spanish vertical blinds installed in every room. It’s a 2* pension, so be realistic about the facilities on the Camino.

The rooms were small and dark, and the walls are paper thin!!! The stars don’t really fit the experience, which feels a bit like an oxymoron. Still, top marks for having washers and dryers. The food portions are enormous, and you won’t go hungry for little money.
