ECO Hostel

The location made it easy to walk to the main sights, and nights were quiet and peaceful. Eco Hostel Granada is clean, well organised, and thoughtfully designed, with communal spaces where you can unwind or meet other travellers. The relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and eco-friendly feel made us comfortable from the moment we arrived. Staff were incredibly kind and always ready with recommendations or help. You can tell they care about sustainability and guests. It works well for solo travellers, friends, or families, and we’d happily stay again. Big applause to Adriana (the manager). My first time staying in a hostel was amazing. The lobby had such a cute look and feel, and the bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. Everyone on staff was very nice. They had family dinners, games, free sangria, and tours, all in a great spot within easy walking distance of centro. I’d definitely recommend it!

I picked ECO Hostel because the reviews said it was social but also good for getting work done, and that matched my stay. They put on a family dinner each evening for €10, with different food each time. There was nearly always free sangria on the fourth floor, which also has a great city view. The ground floor and back stairway are beautifully decorated, a small touch I really liked. Breakfast for €4.50 is worth adding, with proper barista coffee and choices like hummus on bread, eggs, or yogurt with chocolate muesli. For digital nomads, the Wi-Fi could be unstable and made meetings tricky, though it worked fine otherwise. Most staff were friendly, especially the English guy and the slightly older woman. One girl seemed unhappy to be there, and several guests said she could be short or rude if you didn’t speak Spanish. I had a similar experience. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm with capsule bunks. The bottom bed was great, but the top ones are really high. Even with those little issues, the free sangria and fun atmosphere would still get this hostel five stars from me.

I live in Granada now and still drop by for the coffee shop, the people, and the vibes. I’ve stayed at this hostel a few times and appreciated every visit. The staff are very nice and helpful, and the location is great, just a few minutes on foot from the main square and cathedral. Rooms are tidy and well lit, with combination-lock lockers, plus extra lockers in my 4-bed room where you could use your own lock. In the evenings there’s a free glass of sangría in the living room, and you can buy an international dinner too. It’s a nice way to meet other travelers before heading out for tapas. Digital nomads will like the coworking space, fast fiber-optic internet, and mini call boot for calls. I never had internet trouble there, and it works better than at my place. Great people, a good coworking area, and great pricing.
