Apartments La Fatela

There’s no air conditioning, just fans, which was the one drawback for us. The two apartments are otherwise very well equipped: the kitchens have utensils but no dishwasher, and the bathrooms had clean towels. There’s a sofa bed in the living room and two bedrooms upstairs, with a fireplace downstairs and a pellet stove above. The pool has parasols and loungers. It’s close to the road, though noise around the pool helps cover it. Definitely recommend.

The country house was immaculate, and the mattresses and pillows were comfortable, even the sofa bed. The pool was well looked after and the surroundings very quiet. There’s a barbecue area too. Virginia and her husband were so friendly and attentive. I’d happily come back.

The hosts were really friendly, and the facilities were good and very clean. Having the toilet outside is a plus. The one issue was the road beside the building: at night the speed bumps make it noisy, especially when trucks go by.

After years of rural trips and stays at lots of country places, I’d put this one among the best. The owners’ warm welcome and the peaceful atmosphere made our stay feel perfect, and they made sure we had everything we needed. The house, pool area and grounds were all excellent, both for amenities and cleanliness. It’s also conveniently placed for visiting all the points of interest in the Sierra de Gata mountains.
