The historic building has a lot of charm, and for the price I’d definitely come back. We had a nice room that worked for us, especially liked the bathrooms, and the service and location were great. We stayed three days with a friend. The walls are thin, as a few other people have mentioned, so you can hear things, but the good parts won out.

The location is great, but my room was unbearable in the heat. On August 18th, when it was 43°C, there was no air conditioning in my room. The two rooms beside it had portable units venting hot air straight into my window, so I couldn’t open it. The only thing inside was a ceiling fan that worked on and off. I felt like I was being slow-cooked overnight in an air fryer. I hope the guess will be arrested!

For a cheap, cheerful stay, this hostel did the job. Pblo was around every night and spoke good English. The street looked a little dodgy, though I had no problems. My room had a roof, but it mostly just moved the hot air around. I slept well and leaving was easy.
