Apartamentos El Beril Costa Adeje

We left with a very mixed impression. At check-in, the staff seemed suspicious of us because we had arrived with an invitation. They gave us key cards that wouldn't open our door. Later, it turned out these were the cleaner's cards for other cottages, and the staff even asked where we had got them, although they'd given them to us. The room had old, unattractive furniture, a burnt-out bulb, and a sharp piece of metal sticking out of the door. I scratched myself on it several times. Cleaning happened only once a week. There was hair and dirt on the floor, plus boot marks on the coffee table, as if someone had stood on it. The two small single beds kept sliding apart, which was very uncomfortable for a couple sharing a bed. Every night, a nearby bar showing live sports was loud enough to disturb our sleep, though I'm usually not too bothered by noise. Wi-Fi barely worked anywhere but the balcony, and even there it was extremely slow, so I couldn't work. There were no New Year decorations apart from a sad little Christmas tree near reception. We eventually noticed that 300 euros were missing. I can't say for sure that anyone from the hotel took it, though we always kept the doors and windows closed. Other guests had also reported robberies.
