Liberty Cottage Tenerife

The views were the only thing I liked. The handyman was very rude to me and my fiancé when I tried to use the pool on my last day. He had a go at us and snatched a railing from our hand. I paid to use the pool, so I expected to be able to use the facilities all day until it closed. They should fix it in the evening or let guests know beforehand. The handyman also took our towels. When I asked, he denied it, even though they were in his basket. The shower wouldn’t get hot, the stove didn’t work, and the microwave made the lights flicker. The bed was really hard, and the garden wasn’t big enough for kids. I’m never coming back and wouldn’t recommend this place.

The name really matched how I felt here: free and without worries. The gate and apartment doors use magnetic keys, so we could come and go whenever we wanted without disturbing anyone. My husband and I also had very friendly neighbours, which made the stay even nicer. There’s a private pool with a lovely waterfall that makes a calming sound, plus lots of sunbeds, a spot to have a drink, and several terraces. From the top terrace you can see the sea and beautiful Adeje. The staff were lovely, the food was great, and the place was peaceful. I’d definitely come back.

If you like a cosy, quiet place close to the center, this is the spot. The friendliest host, Stefano, is the heart and soul of the place, and you’ll love him from the first moment. There are only 7 appartements, so you need to book, but it’s absolutely worth it. Once you arrive at the liberty cottage, you’ll understand what a real holiday feels like.
