Marina Palace Paraiso

We paid 1000€ for a 10-day vacation, and comfort was the main thing we wanted: a good sleep and a shower. We didn’t get either here, and we were very disappointed. The mattress had holes on both sides, like lying in a trench. I’m seven months pregnant, struggled to find a comfortable position, and my back hurts a lot after the stay. The towels and bed linen were old. The towels smelled stale, as if they’d been sitting in a closet for half a year. We bought washing gel and washed everything again, which improved the smell a lot. There’s no shower screen, so if you hang up the rain, water runs onto the washing machine. The walls are very thin, and you can hear everything, including Spanish, the TV, and conversations. It was hard to get my son to sleep at lunchtime. Everything looks beautiful in the pictures, but comfort here gets a zero. The apartment owners should provide comfort if they want people to come back.

A terrible disaster. The hallways had no lights or signs of life, the facilities were dirty, and the cars in the parking lot looked like they were falling apart. A local resident told me the accommodation was unlicensed, badly managed, extremely dirty, and dangerous, and advised me to stay at a nearby hotel instead. The property has high ratings on Booking.com, but I believe they’re completely manipulated.

I expected it to be bad from the reviews, but the two-story marble apartment was really clean and nice.

The whole stay was a nightmare, and the customer service was horrible. We checked in and ran away just 10 hours later, after both our kids had breathing problems. The neighbours brought disgusting smoke smells into the building at night, likely pot or other drugs, and the floors were awfully dirty, with cigarettes and joints around. The building felt scary, with loose cables and large parts of the walls and ceiling fallen apart. In the real apartment, 539, the toilet was broken, there were big rusty spots, mold on the wall, pieces of the ceiling falling apart, and cockroaches in the bathroom. It was stinky and nothing like the pictures. Sun Property refused a refund, saying they didn’t think these reasons were sufficient. A scam!
