We keep returning to Neptuno, usually at least twice a year, and love staying here. The staff are great, the pool areas are lovely, and the whole complex, including the rooms, is kept clean. The apartments have what you need, and there’s a well-stocked supermarket nearby. The pool bar also serves snacks and drinks during the day, and it’s good value for money. There are lots of steps, so getting around could be difficult for anyone with mobility challenges. It’s also up a steep hill, though taxis and a bus make it easy to get places quickly. We wouldn’t choose anywhere else in the resort.

We’ve just returned from a 3-week stay booked through On The Beach, and it was a really disappointing experience. We’re an older couple, and it felt as if both they and the accommodation thought we’d accept anything. We’d booked a superior room, but the two rooms first offered were disgraceful. One was a courtesy room, so dirty that we couldn’t sit on the settee, yet we had to stay in it for two nights. There were toilets next door and cockroaches on the kitchen bench. We eventually paid an extra 190 euros for a “premium” room overlooking the pool. After speaking with other guests, we heard they’d been given sea views without any fuss. It also seemed that people staying for shorter periods got better rooms with views. On The Beach were terrible when we tried to get help sorting it out. They just passed the buck.

January 2026 The pool bar staff are brilliant, though the bar being closed on a Saturday night because someone was ill really let the place down. The lady and gentleman running it had been there for 7 days with no rest, keeping everyone supplied with food and drinks and still smiling. They do a marvelous job on their own, and I can’t understand why there was no cover for them. There’s plenty to do around the complex: a pool table and darts by the main pool, another pool table and table tennis in a chilled indoor area, plus a launderette and gym. You can always find a sunbed. The main pool is a bit chilly, but the smaller adults-only heated pool is a great option. Cleaners are friendly, and there are lots of places to eat and drink nearby. The hill isn’t too bad, either. Costa Adeje is a fabulous resort with plenty of excursions, activities, and nightlife. The rooms are pretty good, but could use an oven or air fryer. We’ve managed with chicken and pork steaks, sausages, bacon, omelettes, scrambled egg, ham, cereal, cheese, and toast. It’s okay for a short stay, but cooking would get challenging after more than a week if you don’t eat out. There’s no A/C, so it gets warm and stuffy at night. Fans should really be free, especially for the middle bedroom, though perhaps you could ask for a deposit in case they’re damaged through irresponsible use. The San Miguel is €3 a pint, and the pool bar food is acceptable at reasonable prices. Overall, three stars feels about right for what you pay. There isn’t much to complain about at that level, and I’d probably come back, but not in summer. It’d be seriously uncomfortable at night.

The hill really isn’t too bad, and the location is about on par with Burger King. The value for money is excellent. This was our 6th trip to Neptuno, where we usually stay for 3 weeks at a time, and we’re already booked for next year. It feels like a home away from home, and it’s my favourite place in the world. The apartments are spotless, and the staff are the nicest, friendly, kind, and efficient. Especially Juan and Simoón, and another gentleman whose name I don’t know. Thanks for all the extra help this year when denis left the keys behind ✨️✨️✨️✨️🫣💕

Bed bugs, do not stay here! We booked 5 nights, but left as soon as we found multiple bugs crawling on the sheets. We looked up a photo after spotting one on the bedroom wall and immediately recognized bed bugs. We were astonished. At first the room seemed spacious and fairly clean, though reception staff weren’t very welcoming. That evening, turning on the bathroom tap caused a horrible bubbling noise from the shower drain and a terrible raw sewage smell. The next day, cleaning staff came in and were repulsed by the smell. Maintenance quickly resealed the drain, dismissed our concerns, and left abruptly. We showed reception photos of the bugs and were told to wait in the room. The same two cleaners came back with someone we think was management. The cleaners didn’t seem phased, but the manager was mortified and said, “there has never been bed bugs in THIS apartment”. They offered to move us to another room, but we declined because we worried other rooms might have them too. We packed straight away and went to reception to arrange a refund. The staff member there was dismissive and unhelpful, seemed not to care or apologize, and wouldn’t help. We had to deal with a third party ourselves to try to get our money back. The grounds and amenities also looked unkept, dirty, and outdated. The location is very poor, with a very, very long walk up hills. Would not recommend ever, unless you want an I'm a Celeb Bushtucker trial 🐜🪳
