Sunwing Fanabe Beach

The pools were a real highlight, with warm water that felt so relaxing. We also loved the food, everything was delicious. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the location is perfect, close to the beach. Our stay was amazing, and we highly recommend this hotel.

The location is amazing, with everything so close. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and more hotel-like than some nearby places, though there’s no oven. We had a cockroach on the first night, but it was dealt with promptly. Our room was next to a storage cupboard, so mornings were loud. Breakfast was so poor we stopped going near the end of the trip. When I asked about late checkout, they told me to come back before 9 AM on the day, which defeats the point, and quoted something like €75. Crazy. The atmosphere felt a bit odd if you’re not Scandinavian, and we felt out of place. It should really be marketed as a Scandinavian-only hotel. We traveled as a couple and would recommend staying elsewhere; as a family, I’d give it four stars. We’d decided to pay a little more this trip, but it didn’t really meet our expectations.

The pool was lovely, and there were no fights over sunbeds. Our rooms were really spacious and clean, with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was included and was okay, not amazing, but there was fresh fruit and bread each day. The choices were a bit limited for vegetarians. Adrianna, who hosted the evening entertainment, was so lovely, friendly, and personable. Sorry if I’ve spelled her name wrong. We had a recent holiday at Sunwing Fanabe Beach Hotel and absolutely loved it. We’d definitely come back and recommend the resort to couples and families.

The staff are really nice and always helpful, and the location is perfect. Rooms are very clean, but they’re hot because the air conditioning isn’t great, and the facilities aren’t the newest. The rooms aren’t great, though not the worst. It’s a nice hotel if you can get a mid-range room.
