Hotel Tropical Park

We’ve stayed here twice and enjoyed it. The rooms are a good size and have spacious balconies. Everything felt clean and modern, more practical than luxurious. The beds and couch were uncomfortable for us, though. The kitchen is well equipped for simple meals, with good supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Both pool areas were clean and had enough sunbeds. We didn’t eat at the on site restaurant because it was a buffet.

The staff were kind, even over Christmas, and I thought the small Aloe Vera holiday gift pack was a sweet gesture. There was plenty of street parking close to the hotel or a little farther away. The location was good, with nice views and pleasant walks that worked with a stroller. There are two fairly large pools, about 1.4 metres deep, and lots of sunbathing spots. They weren’t warm when we went on a sunny afternoon. Staff said one pool was heated, but even that one felt quite cold that day. There’s a pay to use washing machine, a kids’ play area and a separate space for smaller babies and young toddlers.

We stay here often and usually love the hotel. On our visit in May 2026, the English TV channels had disappeared. We were told they wouldn’t be back by our next visit in September. I don’t know if they removed them to save money.

Diego (Pikachu man) & Penelope won our kids over with their kindness. We enjoyed our eight days at this smaller hotel. Breakfast and dinner always had enough options for everyone in the family, including meat, fish and vegetarian choices. I especially liked the dried fruit and nuts in the morning, and the churros with chocolate sauce and (N)espresso each day. We rented a car at the airport and explored the island. There are lovely volcano walks with Teide views within a 15-30 minute drive, and plenty of small beaches nearby. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, close to some shops and within walking distance of a beach restaurant. There was enough free parking around the hotel. We’d choose Hotel Tropical Park again.
