This feels like a well-kept, Airbnb-style hostel, and the room was in much better shape than some seaside hotels I’ve stayed in. The restroom is shared. You know how some poorly managed hotels can be dirty? This place is the opposite. Just make sure you get the introduction before your stay, since there’s no check-in counter. I’ll definitely come back!

The place was cute, and breakfast was simple but fine. There was a strong smell of cleaning products throughout the building, though. You could smell it even from the parking lot across the street.

Antonio was a great host, and I enjoyed his cooking. I had a great time staying here. The rooms are simple and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is great, close to the beach and tucked in beside the mountains. Spectacular views all around!

The room was simple, but the mattress and cosy blankets were really good. The host doesn't speak English, and I found the 6000 K lighting a bit eerie, so I bought two 3700 K bulbs, one for my room and one for the neighbours. In the evenings, candles made the terrace a cosy place to sit and watch locals visit the eatery downstairs. Breakfast was plenty of coffee, bread, cake and fresh orange juice, and parking right out front was easy and free. It's good for travellers on a tight budget. The location is handy for beaches and hiking, though there’s road noise because trucks honk before taking the hairpin bend in front of the hostel. One thing to know if you arrive late: there’s no sign for the B&B. The many signs point to the Charco Azul trail, so people often head up there looking for it when everything is closed. Bar Perdomo is also the B&B. Ask there for the keys or call the host.

The owners were kind enough to give us a room at no extra cost after we got scammed online by a booking site. They seem like good people, and they were welcoming hosts too. The room had everything we needed. We’ll definitely come back, and stay longer next time 🤗🤗
