We booked four nights at Moon Dreams, but after our first evening we decided to check out. My husband uses a mobility scooter and can't manage stairs. Though we'd told the hotel about his mobility needs when booking, they hadn't made things workable for us. Getting to the restaurant took two lifts, and once there I had to walk about 30 metres to fetch two glasses of water, then go to the restaurant reception to order and pay for wine, pick it up, and have it opened. Since my husband struggles to walk and even stand, I also had to get the food. We couldn't cope with it. The following morning we moved to another hotel on the Matina, which was excellent and met our needs perfectly. Moon Dreams offered very poor service and no interest in helping, and we won't use any of their hotels again.

It's a good hotel by the beach, though there's room to improve. The breakfast staff could have been friendlier, and from the 11th floor the WiFi didn't work. You can also hear a lot through the windows and doors. There are many rooms, but all in all I thought it was a nice place.

I love these older beach hotels, and I'd guess this one dates from the late 1980s. The views and location are incredible, with the beach and several cute restaurants an easy walk away. The rooms and beds are beautiful and very clean. Some parts, like the bathroom, are older, but they've been kept up really well. It was a beautiful stay, and I adore the place enough to recommend it. I didn't eat at the hotel, and the pool is a bit small and can get busy.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed every minute. Everyone was friendly, and a big thank you to the hard-working staff in the kitchen, bars and restaurant. Said was the star of the entertainment.

I'm extremely disappointed and wouldn't consider coming back. I stayed for two nights, and that was more than enough. The hot water was very brown, so I felt dirty after showering, and the bathroom ceiling looked like it might fall in. The hotel is extremely dated and badly needs renovating, if not pulling down. It doesn't deserve four stars and would be lucky to reach two. The location is the only good thing, though the staff were excellent and must be embarrassed to welcome guests here. I expected the same quality as the nearby Alegria Colonial hotel, where I'd stayed and which was very good in every way. The discounted price makes sense. They need to sort this place out or it could have to shut for lack of guests.
