This must once have been a beautiful house, but now it feels like everything is falling apart. The roof leaks, and mud runs from the garden through the walls and into the kitchen cabinets. You have to kick every door to get it open. One room is rented to guests even though it’s old, smelly, windowless, and has no ventilation; it’s not even fit for keeping chickens. In the other rooms, you can hear everything through the walls and above the ceiling, and the gaps beneath the doors are several centimetres wide. The kitchen is missing everything, and the water taps are falling apart. Shame!

We stayed just one night on the way to the airport, and everything was easy. It’s in a nice little village, right beside a restaurant. The location worked perfectly for our stop, and the kitchen and courtyard looked nice too. 🫏Thanks for having us!

The town is a peaceful place to spend a relaxing holiday, with ancient streets and places full of stories. It’s one of Gran Canaria’s most typical Canarian villages, with a history reaching back to before the Catholic Kings conquered the islands in the Middle Ages, and even before Cristobal Columbus discovered America. The locals are always ready to make visitors happy, and life there feels like being part of a big family, safe and relaxed.

The rooms are cold, probably because of the building materials, and a heater would be welcome. The Wi-Fi is so slow that watching movies on a portable device isn’t possible. Still, it’s a clean hostel with a charming interior, comfortable beds, and a good location. Parking is nearby, and the square is cosy and charming. The staff are friendly, though they only speak Spanish. Smiles and hand gestures can get you a long way!

The oven doesn’t work, and buses don’t go to this town. It’s a shared house. Everything else is great 👌🏼
