There’s a lovely little house here, with Arabic and Hindu touches and enough room for two to four people. It’s small, but nothing seems to be missing: a good bathroom, two comfortable beds, a pair of TVs, and a living room with a fireplace and firewood ready to use. The village has no more than 30 houses and feels full of charm. Trails head out in every direction, so there’s no need to take the car. You can walk to Santa Ana and Chestnut Tree of Robledo, through the Forest of Letters, past waterfalls and streams. The vegetation is lush, and the whole place feels like a dream.

We barely needed to contact the woman who handed over the keys, just once more on the last day to return them. The kitchen had everything we needed, including an iron and washing machine, and the fireplace was wonderful. Upstairs, the bedrooms were very spacious and warm thanks to the heating. There are nice trails and a river nearby, and downtown Aracena is 15 minutes away. The photo shows the basket of firewood that cost us 10 euros.
