Hotel Rural La Sinforosa

The room was beautiful, spacious and rustic, with a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Staff were attentive to everything we needed, in the room and at breakfast. We stayed one night at this little hotel and found it incredibly welcoming. There isn't much to see in the town itself, but it’s peaceful, and the reservoir nearby is a lovely spot to unwind.

The setting is beautiful, and this country hotel is a very pleasant place to stay. We were there for two nights and found it really comfortable. Pedro and the rest of the staff gave outstanding service. Breakfast was excellent, and we enjoyed the dinners made with local products. We’ll definitely return.

My partner and I stayed here a few days ago, and the experience was surreal and unpleasant. We were the only guests, but were given a twin room because the employee said she hadn't had time to prepare another one, even though we'd booked a double. The hotel facilities felt old and neglected, and the decor was awful and a bit sinister. The toilet seat was loose, and there were empty shower gel containers left by other guests in the shower. I seriously doubt the room had been cleaned and disinfected. The employee was rude and didn't even remove the containers. She left breakfast ready before going to a doctor's appointment, so we were on our own. It was too rushed to find another hotel, so we stayed one more night. When we got back after a full day in Mérida, the room hadn't been cleaned and the bed wasn't made. The pillows were short, and there were no bedspreads. The same employee said guests cleaned their own rooms unless they stayed more than a week. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

We were just passing through and stayed for one night, but the service was spectacular and dinner was wonderful. The manager served us acorn liqueur that was delicious. Being able to bring our dog mattered a lot to us, since we travel with him. A fascinating place, I’d rate it a 10.
