Hotel Rural S'Olivaret & Spa

We spent a whole week here hiking, swimming, eating, and relaxing, and never got bored. The views were incredible, and it was the perfect getaway, an experience I’ll always cherish. The hotel is gorgeous and charming, with kind, attentive, professional staff. We also loved the restaurant and its outstanding service. Everyone was warm and accommodating with my four-month-old, which I really appreciated. The only small drawback was weak WiFi in our room. It wasn’t a big deal, since we mostly stayed off our phones and enjoyed our time there.

We had a fantastic massage at the spa with Monica, who was professional and knew how to tailor the treatment for the best result. The hotel also handled a large wedding on Saturday without any noise or disruption reaching guests, which we appreciated. It feels rural while still being close to town. The food was delicious, and breakfast had plenty of variety and fresh fruit. Service was friendly and attentive, and they made our four-month-old feel welcome despite the hotel’s rather adult atmosphere. The rooms and bar have distinctive furniture and art, giving the place a unique feel.

We only stayed one night and wished we’d booked more. The food was incredible, and staff were very accommodating about allergies, with allergen details clearly shown on the menus. Each room had its own character and a private patio or terrace. Breakfast had an incredible spread, with lovely views. Surrounded by nature, it felt like a proper getaway. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and reading beside the pool.

There were so many quiet corners to relax in, indoors and out, along with a bar area and fireplace. The grounds were spectacular, and the pool was lovely, though it wasn’t heated and felt a bit chilly. At night it was so peaceful, with incredible stars. I’d love to come back and hike the trails around the property. We stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The suite we booked was expensive, but felt like an apartment, with a huge terrace, seating area, loungers, a double hammock, and incredible mountain views. The hotel sits in a valley between two mountains. You can feel its history as an olive oil production site, including the original stonework inside the main building. Breakfast was included and had an amazing range of choices. Dinner was delicious, too, with wonderful service. It’s a true retreat, and I’d return in a heartbeat.
