As a tourist, I found the place alright, but nothing mind-blowing. The room was a good size and looked pretty good, with a mini fridge, a non-smart TV, a bathtub, and a toilet with a bidet and adjustable water temperature. There was air conditioning too. The key card goes in a holder by the door to turn on the lights, heating, and other things. The main problem was the Wi-Fi. Even with routers in the hallway right outside my door, the signal was so weak that I often couldn’t even see the network. I had to use my own 5G data to write this. Reception and bar staff don’t speak English, so you need Spanish or Google Translate. The people at the bar acted as if they were superior because I didn’t speak their language, which made me feel unwelcome. This happened quite a lot during my two weeks in Spain. There’s a waiting area with couches in the lobby, and a bar behind a door that you can reach from the lobby or from the front entrance on the left. There’s also a cigarette machine in the bar area. There’s no smoking area, only outside by the hotel entrance.

The soundproofing is really poor. You can literally hear people talking in the other rooms.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and very clean, and there’s parking on-site. The hotel is a little dated. Since we were on the ground floor, there was no view from the window, but at least we didn’t hear street noise. The breakfast room was clean and had the usual Spanish breakfast options. We sat on the lower level, at floor height with the upper seating area, and could see that the floor under the coffee machine and service table needed sweeping. Management should take a look. The Wi-Fi was the main drawback. In room 12X, we had to move around the room or go into the corridor to get a usable signal, and the connection dropped a couple of times.

The staff are all really friendly, and breakfast is very good value. The rooms are huge and super clean, with a flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi. It’s a good hotel for a weekend break, in a good location. A little dated, but well maintained, and dog friendly 😍

We were just passing through and stayed one night over Halloween weekend. Getting parking in town was a great bonus, and we loved the place. The hotel and service have a proper 1950s feel. Give it another ten years and it’ll be a retro hotel 😄
