Hostal Los Tres Reyes

The rooms are old, and the mattresses are uncomfortable. There’s a strong smell of tobacco and damp, and the prices are far too high for what you get. There are plenty of better options if you look around. I should’ve read the reviews before booking.

The sheets were dirty and full of hair, the pillows looked as if someone had stepped on them, and the bathroom was filthy. I couldn’t even shower or clean my episiotomy stitches. It was disgraceful. We stayed because it was the middle of the night and I wasn’t well. I was there nearly two months ago, after my baby was admitted to the NICU. The hospital arranged the room, and I arrived with a friend in the early hours. They said there were no other rooms and charged us an extra €20 for my friend to stay with me. The first thing we noticed was the tobacco smell and cigarette butts on the floor. I complained to patient services and told the social worker too. I hope they do something, because this place doesn’t meet basic hygiene and sanitation standards. I would never recommend a hostel like this.

I was there with my wife and two children, and everything was excellent. There’s plenty nearby too, including a shopping center, a gym, and the DGT office, all within a 10-minute walk. I’d definitely come back.

The first time I stayed here for a hospital visit, the service was fine. The room is very basic, but it works if you’re only there for a day or two or just need somewhere to sleep. The second stay was another story: one towel for two people, almost no shower gel left in the supposed one-liter bottle, and a horrible sewer smell. The pillow was thinner than tissue paper, the tiny TV only had four channels, the shower had no pressure, and the elevator was broken. What a bargain! I don’t recommend it. Hotel Cardinal is cheaper and better equipped.
