We paid a nightly rate that made us expect a more comfortable apartment, but the armchair was old, unusable, and uncomfortable, so there was nowhere decent to sit and watch the news. The apartment needs renovating, in our opinion, instead of being just a place to sleep. There was also a lot of noise from the upstairs tenant’s shower, which made it hard to sleep if they got up early. The pillows were awful. After we complained, they brought a replacement that same day, but it was just as uncomfortable. We had no TV for two days. When we reported it, a channel would come on briefly and then the signal disappeared, so we gave up and turned it off. I deleted a 14-second video of the TV issue because I think posting it caused problems. The location is good, with easy car access and parking when we returned. There’s a cove about a 15-minute walk away along a stony path, so wear sneakers. The cooking gear is very basic, just a small pot, salad bowl, and one cooking spoon, as shown in the photo. There were six glasses, and plenty of knives, spoons, and plates, so the kitchen could have been better balanced. Two stars for the friendly hotel receptionist who helped when we picked up the keys and when we left, but we won’t repeat the experience.

The setting was beautiful, between the mountains and a cove reached by a dirt and stone path in about 10-15 minutes on foot. The cove has pebbles, and a boardwalk from there goes to the lighthouse and another pebbly cove. Service from the hotel staff was excellent, they were friendly, attentive, and polite. Inside, though, the kitchen and its utensils were very basic. There were only three dinner plates for five of us, and some cutlery was rusty, so that was our least favorite part. The mattresses were just so-so. The one on the big bed was the worst, while the smaller ones were more comfortable. We saw one cockroach on the first day and none after that. People and kids shouted at the pool every day, even though there are posted quiet hours.

The views were spectacular, even with the shops some distance away. The room was mostly clean and tidy, though the bed wasn’t very comfortable. Ivana at reception handled the few issues we had quickly, and was professional and efficient.

The pool is large, impeccably kept, and comfortable for several families to use. Getting around is easy, with plenty of parking. It’s a peaceful place away from the town center, but essential services are only a five-minute drive away. A rustic footpath takes just a few minutes to reach a string of charming, unspoiled coves. It’s a little sad that the complex’s shops are all closed and abandoned. This place has seen better days.
