Basalco

The development itself is beautiful and has a fabulous pool, but I wouldn’t take apartment B317 even for free. It’s managed by BASALCO, the real estate agency in the beach resort development in Alcoceber. My wife, two daughters, and I stayed there, and it felt like no money had been put into the place. Other private apartments in the same development, managed by Albert Villas, are a thousand times better. There’s a large terrace, but no shelter at all, so you get wet in rain and burn in the sun. Not even a garden umbrella. The table and four plastic chairs were terrible. The furniture inside was sparse too, and the bathroom had nowhere to put things, so we left them on the floor. The three-seater sofa meant the fourth person had to use a chair. They charged extra for internet, asking €40 for our three-week stay after we’d already spent a fortune on the apartment. The hydromassage shower and its buttons, including the music, didn’t work. The refrigerator light was out. We reported it, but they came four days later and said the whole system needed replacing, so we were without power for the rest of the stay. The pillows are impossible to beat. Towels weren’t provided. When I asked, they said it was in the contract, but I checked days later and it said nothing about that. The air conditioning works, but stops if you open any door or window, and the apartment is a hotbed. The garage access ramp becomes like an ice rink when it rains. The car skids and it’s barely possible to get out, which is dangerous. It’s happened to me and others, and I’m shocked they haven’t changed it. If they want to make money, they should invest.

We booked an apartment at the "Alcossebre Beach Resort" in January 2023 for the winter of 2023/2024, and paid a month's rent as a deposit. Our plans changed and we had to cancel the contract. The deposit was refunded quickly and without hassle. Mr. Jorge Herrera was very friendly in our correspondence. I highly recommend "Basalco" in Alcossebre.
