The room was simple, but clean, so I can't complain about that. Sleep was another matter. It faced the street, where people and cars were really loud at night, and the church bells rang loudly every 15 minutes from 8 am, so it was impossible to sleep after that. After I left this review on Airbnb, the host claimed I had smoked in the room. That's completely false. I can't stand the smell of tobacco and I'm totally anti-smoking.

Antonio was a great, helpful host, and I've stayed here for several months. It's a beautiful old house in the town centre, once home to clerics from the local church, with lots of interesting period details and antique furniture. There are private double rooms and a large hostel space upstairs. The house is cleaned 2-3 times a week. Guests share three kitchens and bathrooms, with plenty of hot water and fresh towels. The beds are comfortable, there are two lovely patios, and the wifi is excellent. I'd recommend it to everyone.

Antonio was quick and thoughtful in replying to messages, and his local tips and recommendations made the stay feel authentic. We felt welcomed as guests, not just visitors. La Casa del Cura 1935 is a peaceful place near Seville, with tasteful decor and a welcoming atmosphere. If you enjoy history or vintage style, or just want a quiet escape, it's a lovely place to stay and feel like you've stepped back in time.
