We couldn’t sleep at all. The rooms smelled strongly of tobacco, and the sheets and towels were dirty, with hair from other guests on them. The place was filthy, and the receptionist was very rude. There were ashtrays in every room despite the no-smoking policy. We skipped breakfast because the bar across the street was meant to open at 7:00 but was still shut at 7:30. For a night of pure misery, come to Hostal Jacinto. We’d give it zero stars, or less if we could.

If you get a room with a bathroom, it’s clean and fine, though there’s nothing special about it. Without a bathroom, you have a shower and sink in the room, while the bathroom is just outside and very close by. That’s unlike the Cuatro Caños hostel, where a room without a bathroom puts you in a basement with windows and leaves the bathroom twelve meters away.
