The house is spectacular and in a perfect location, especially for history lovers. But I wouldn't return, even though we paid 457 euros for two nights. Mr. Werner, who is German, was quick and unfriendly when he showed us around, and another day he rudely sent our friends away when we wanted to show them the house. The service fell well short of the hospitality you'd expect from someone running a public establishment. There are plenty of other charming places in the village where the service would surely be better.

Getting there by car is difficult because the old town is hard to drive through, so you need to call for a pick-up. Once there, it's a very quiet hotel in a beautiful historic house, with excellent decor. The owner is extremely attentive.

We had a wonderful stay in this very clean boutique hotel inside the walls of Trujillo. Wegner, the manager, is delightful, friendly, and always ready to help. The hotel can host up to five couples, and each room is different and has its own charm, with a fully equipped bathroom, minibar, and mini-TV. There are three lounges, lovely gardens, a pool, solarium, and terrace. We chose the optional breakfast for an extra €15 and highly recommend it. We'll be back.

My parents were delighted. The castle is beautiful, the staff were excellent and attentive, and the gentleman came to pick us up whenever we needed him. Everything was very clean, and breakfast was excellent. Well worth it.

Wagner was friendly and very willing to help, and the service was unbeatable. The historic setting and excellent location really make you feel transported back centuries. Breakfast had limited variety, but it was delicious.
